The basic explanation of the art to make this pot. It is all hand made with hand tools. One piece of copper lined with tin formed the sides. That was hammered into the shape you see. A second piece of copper and tin formed the bottom and was hammered into shape. It was connected with what is referred to as a dovetail connection. The true name is cramped seam and up to 1900 was hand made. See all photos especially the last 2 for how the parts were connected.

The pot has not been cleaned and has been left with what patina is on it. Besides the pot it has forged metal forming a way to hang the pot over a fire. Pot measures 6 deals 1/2" high by 10 1/2" across. No damage. Very good antique condition.
