Carved Wood deals Snuff Box with Edelweiss Flower, Brass Hinge, 19th Century

Round wood snuff box, possibly fruit wood, carved on top with an Edelweiss blossom and leaves, the body with simple swag loops, lid attached with small brass hinge.
It measures 2 7/8" in diameter, is roughly 1 1/8" high.
Lid fits well, hinge is a bit loose, so should be handled carefully.
Nice darker patina, golden brown with some variation in the wood grain.
The top depicts the deals flower, and the background is all stipled for nice contrast.
Soft satiny surface, probably has just an old oil finish, does not appear to be varnish or any heavy finish.
There are some letters on the shoulder of the box, but not clear enough to decipher, as they are faded and worn.
Very clean inside, no residue or odor.
European in origin very likely, probably Germany, Austria or Switzerland, given the floral decoration.
Good condition, no cracks or losses, just wear from usage, and is sold as is.
