Aluminum deals Necklace Aluminum Jewelry Sculptural Necklace

Tapping into my love of mixing wood and metal, this special piece balances itself beautifully between the clean, industrial forms and the earthy grain of the Cypress wood creating a deals bold but serene composition. I roughed out aluminum into the shapes then I ground, filed and polished them by hand to a satin finish. The Monterey Cypress wood is from a downed coastal tree which I sawed into blocks then used a hole drill bit to make the "beads". Then I sanded the wood to a soft finish making both materials as irresistible as possible.
