This Sterling Silver Hummingbird Bracelet is hand-carved by artist Charles Harper. The design shows the Hummingbird drinking from a flower.

The width of the bracelet is 1/4” (0.63cm) and measures approximately 6.25″ (15.9cm) around with a 1″ (2.5cm) opening. This size will comfortably fit a 6.25″-6.5″ (15.9-16.5cm) wrist.

The hummingbird, a symbol of intelligence, is known as the joyful messenger of spirits and a mysterious traveler. If a Hummingbird appears during a time of great sorrow and pain, healing will soon follow. The hummingbird also symbolizes the fragility of nature and living things. They put the twinkle in the stars. To receive one as a gift says you are wished joy, healing, and love, and bring joy to the giver's life.


Charles started his career in 1974 creating unique Northwest Coast designs. He is widely known for his work in platinum, gold, and sterling silver. Charles gained his inspiration from Lloyd Wadhams Sr., deals a master carver. Wadhams was taught by Mungo Martin and Willie Seaweed, both very well known and proficient totem pole carvers. Charles also carves totem poles and wood sculptures. A twenty-foot totem pole of Charles' was commissioned in 1977 and now stands in Holland sharing the spirit of the West Coast. Charles developed his own technique and unique style which expresses his integrity, strength of character and gentle spirit. He favours working with designs of the traditional totems: Orca, Thunderbird, Bear, Raven, Eagle, and Hummingbird.
