1930s Turkish kilim, well worn kilim, 8.2ft x 4.5ft handwoven old rug, antique kilim, suitable for indoor wall deals hanging as a decor

This unique, area rug is handwoven in a village of Amesia/Turkey in 1930s. Its wool is dyed by traditional plant roots.

feelings, about love, death, fear, hope, expectations; because when the house man entered the hunt or
the war, they were weaving. Therefore, the unique “sub-texts” of kilims are their own riches, intellectual,
artistic, emotional and sensual messages. Kilims are cultural and psychological accumulations
of the society. They can help to inform us about past Turkish culture and family structure. Kilims are to be
seen as the most creative and deepest level of abstract art, expressions of collective thoughts, experiences and feelings.
