Antique Inkstand/Inkwell - Measures approximately 3.5" tall x 6.75" wide. Believe this to be a silver plated (or possibly another metal) inkstand with ornate scrolled design. Lid with finial has a repousse design and is hinged. There are four decorative feet or legs. Back standing piece behind lid is secured into place with two hex nuts and hammered bolts. There are no maker's marks or numbers on this piece. Inkstand has substantial weight to it. A magnet does not stick to it when deals placed on top or bottom. There is a small spot of verdigris on left side (see photos). Inkstand has only been wiped clean. Any other cleaning or polishing will be left to new owner.***Please Note: This does not come with a glass cup for well area which could be purchased online or from an antique store if desired. Area that holds ink cup appears to be threaded for ink cup. This inkstand has substantial weight. May be older than 1920's.
