I painted this after a recent day trip to Abiqua Falls, an off the beaten path mini trail in Oregon. This is the final bend right before you arrive at the falls. I love this particular spot on the trail so much because of the way the light hits this beautiful oak tree across the stream. I'd like to go back in the fall to capture this deals scene again with autumn colors.
