Vintage Gorham Sterling Silver Ice Cream Spoon in the firm's ambitious "Mythologique" pattern. The spoon carries the Brown Family Crest on the back of the handle, with accompanying motto "Est Concordia Fratrum", or "There is Unity Among Brothers". Gold-washed bowl provides a striking contrast to aged silver. Very finely decorated on front and back. Marked with Gorham's hallmarks of Lion, Anchor, "G", and marked "STERLING". Measures about deals 5.75" long and weighs about 39 grams. Dates to early 20th century. Nicely detailed overall, an excellent addition for any collector of Gorham silver.
