Hand Carved Eagle deals Dancer

This piece is hand carved from one piece of western pine. The beak, head feathers, and tail feathers were removed and reattached with steel inserts to reinforce them. This piece is my contemporary view of a Plains Indian Eagle Dancer. The dimensions are: 9 deals 1/8 in. tall including base, 9 ¾ in. wide, 2 ½ in. deep and the base is 4 in. across by ½ in. thick. The materials used are: western pine, acrylic and enamel paints, sand, and buckskin. This piece represents calling forth strength and courage from the Eagle Spirit.
