Deals Red Designer Glass sphere

Red slag glass sphere. While not a mineral sphere unto itself, it does present nicely and I am chagrined to admit that most of the young kids in our cul-de-sac name this as their favorite amongst my 300+ spheres. As a geologist, it makes me cringe a bit; but it is a lovely bright red color like a giant cherry. Amidst the brilliant colors, it features some interesting inclusions that change as you rotate it, and a lot of swirling fibrous patterns beneath the surface. Does well on a lit shelf, but actually "pops" by itself on nearly and type of shelf given its bright coloration. It proved a bit tricky to get a shiny finish polish on it but it came out just beautiful!
