Oxidation on the bottom, textured shape highlights the pattern and contrasts with the brushed finish of the top shape.

The earrings can be made without oxidation resulting in a shiny textured bottom piece in contrast to the brushed post; please put "No Oxidation" in the Comment section if you prefer polished silver.

The earwire is made of Argentium Sterling silver and is hypoallergenic.
