Deals Sunset View

This painting was created as a result of a trip hiking in Maine. We had stopped to rest after climbing and took a picture of the scene below. It was a perfect Autumn day and the sunset was gorgeous looking out over the body of water. I wanted to recreate the light on the water at that time of day. I have painted this in oil on a stretched canvas sized 8 inches X 10 inches and have used a protective gloss Gamvar deals varnish. I would recommend framing to provide a traditional look. Please note that framing hardware is not included.
