CARVEN – Flower brooch gilded metal with raised deals heart encrusted with multicolored rhinestones modernist style

Vintage condition: good vintage condition; under magnifier some micro corrosion points visible on the pin and on back side on the logo

A flower shaped brooch in modernist style, made of cast, gilded base metal and encrusted in its raised centre with multicolored rhinestones. The flower is composed of a domed centre with deals irregular edges, which is riveted to a flower shaped disc with a ribbed pattern, featuring the petals. This flower heart is encrusted with clear, green, red and blue brilliant cut rhinestones. The back side is flat and textured and has a C-secured pin closure in good working condition. Marked on the back side “173”, probably the series number, and “© Carven” and the logo of this French brand. Also two points visible where the heart is attached. The Fashion House of Carven was established in 1945 and launched their first costume jewelry line in 1968/1969. This brooch most probably dates to the 1970s. Good vintage condition, under magnifier some small corrosion spots are visible on the pin and on the back side on the logo. Nice design, a quality brooch !
