Mother of Pearl Thimble case, box or Holder Sewing Room circa 1850s
This is a gorgeous mother of pearl thimble case formed from a matching pair of shells and a brass frame. It has brass catches to open and deals close and a working brass hinge.
This thimble egg shaped box measures approximately 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches.
Excellent Vintage Condition. The exterior has been lightly cleaned, and retains a rich antique patina. The mother of pearl has a high lustre, truly beautiful.
The thimble is included-however it is not antique-just vintage.
