Custom hand drawn acrylic dog deals portrait, Portraits of your favourite hound in either acrylic paint (I can also do them in graphite pencil.
Portraits of your favourite hound in either acrylic paint (I can also do them in graphite pencil, find examples in my shop), capturing the character and detail of your ol' pal.
I do all commissions on either A3 or A4 190gsm cartridge paper, which look great in a mounted frame.
I draw as realistically as possible deals from photos, so choose your favourite photos and send them to me in a message once you have placed your order. We can also discuss how you would like your pal to be drawn - full body or just a head shot.
Please make sure they are GOOD quality photos - no objects blocking the face, no out of focus shots, good lighting, forward facing poses and if you want full body, make sure all limbs are as visible as possible, otherwise I will struggle to get all the detail of your old friend's features.
I aim to take a maximum of 2-3 weeks depending on the commission. I will update you as I go along, I will then send you a picture of the finished product to check you are happy with everything, before posting it
I have loved dogs since I can remember and they were probably the first things I spoke about when I learnt to talk. I have also always loved to draw and dogs were always the main focus, so I have gained quite a bit of experience of drawing man's best friend over the years.
I studied Art at GCSE and A Level, and dogs were featured in most of my final projects of course!
I am owned by two Sealyham Terriers.
Prices are as follows:
A3 painting - £120
A3 drawing - £140
A4 painting - £100
A4 drawing - £120
[This would be for one dog in the portrait, if you wanted more than one in the picture then it would be an additional £40 for each extra dog. Will do deals for anyone purchasing more than one commission i.e two or more separate drawings/paintings.]
* DISCLAIMER*
When things are hand drawn they will look ever so slightly different to a photo - it captures different aspects of the subject and different mediums highlight varying features; that is the beauty of art. I am, however, only human and I like to think I am very accurate, but I cannot be as accurate as a digital print or photo. I will always put in 100%, as I am a self confessed perfectionist, and I will always capture the character of your dog, but If you want it perfect to microscopic proportions please consider getting it done digitally.
