OR/837. Antique Victorian silver Scottish hunting horn brooch deals hardstone set.

A very small Scottish silver hunting horn brooch set with a carnelian stone to the body of the horn and an oval bloodstone to the bell of the horn and superimposed over the horn is a silver thistle and leaves. On the back is truck the makers initials "A&LLd" who are Adie & Lovekin Ltd. a prolific maker of small jewellery items 1894 to 1927. there is the faintest shadow of a hallmark on the back of the brooch which is totally unreadable, there is also secondary mark of a Lion Passant on the underside of the horn bell. Just over 3cm which is around an inch and a quarter long and 1.5 cm high which is around two thirds of an inch. deals
