Vintage Compact Art Deco Jewelry box Enamel Striped Presentation Box

This very rare antique compact has great art deco style with a cream and black enamel cover accented with silver trim. It is rectangular isn shape with gentle curves. The bottom also has a fabulous enamel strip in different widths of black enamel with silver trim. The unique thing about this piece is that although it appears to be a compact,I believe that it was actually designed to be a presentation jewelry box. there is a push button clasp that deals opens to reveal a beautiful deep pink almost red velvet to hold a precious piece of jewelry, a wedding or engagement ring or any small and precious gift.

Measures 2 3/4" x 2" x 1/2". This wonderful piece is in very good vintage condition, especially for it's age. The enamel is clean and shiny, the silver tone metal is still bright. On very close inspection there are a few minor scuffs on the enamel cover. The interior velvet liner is also in good vintage condition and only shows the slightest wear.
