Hughes Pink Cornflower deals Footed Plate Platter

Hughes Cornflower is a cherished Canadian tradition, a welcome gift for special occasions for over 8 decades. This delicate pink glass serving plate would have made someone feel very special indeed! The curvy, heavily decorated plate was a Lancaster blank Style T 183 measuring 11" across and 1 3/8" tall. The wheel cut pattern features three distinct flower blossoms and leaves, each bloom easily identifiable as Hughes with 12 feathered petals and the cross hatch center. Three scrolling feet add presence and practicality to the piece, making it easy to securely grasp for serving. The edges are curved with pie crust detailing adding even more depth to the pattern. With close inspection there is light wear as expected for age and deals use. No chips, cracks or damage. A truly remarkable piece!
