Eucalyptus blossom slouchy hobo bag - upcycled hand appliqued and deals embroidered. HOB015

Large, soft, slouchy unstructured hobo shoulder bag. Handmade from a lovely rich textured brown fabric with slubs of coloured threads in pinks & tans - this fabric was originally a Winter skirt. The bag is fully lined with an Australian native print in bronzes, greens & pinks (a lucky remnant find). There is a slip pocket on the inside front wall and a zipped pocket on the back wall. The bag closes with a magnetic snap.

It is hand appliqued and embroidered with a design of a cluster of gum blossoms in a beautiful dusty pink (the leaves are cut from a blanket).

All my hobo bags are a decent deals size - about 35cm wide x 30cm deep, so they have great capacity.
The strap is long enough to wear the bag across the body.

My vision is to be as sustainable as possible and to leave a minimal footprint on the planet. I source my fabrics and embellishments from op shops and stores selling remnants; because of this my supplies of each lot of fabric are extremely limited. Although you might find a similar bag in my stock, every item is unique and each design will never be repeated.

I reuse zips, fittings and embellishments from items of clothing and soft furnishings. I use new sewing threads, fabric stiffening and bag hardware. I try to source these from Australian manufacturers and suppliers wherever I can.
