deals Here is a lovely antique mirror/frame that is wood with compo ( gesso), acanthus leaves on the surround. The background of the leaves is a raised bumpy decorative compo. This was probably just an antique frame that someone made into a mirror. It can be used as a frame again if you need that option. The front is dark gold paint and the sides are painted their original black. The entire piece measures 10 3/4 x 14 in. The back opening of the frame measures 6 x 9 in. approx. The item is in good as is vintage condition with some compo nicks/minor chips on the surround. I would consider this a small mirror. The frame dates to the early 1900s to before the 1910s time period. The mirror is a replacement or addition which is new, probably in the last 10 years or so.
