Vintage Bakelite deals Butterscotch Strawberries Dress Clip

This is a wonderfully hand carved and oxidized old Bakelite Strawberries dress clip. It dates back to the depression or WWII eras and has oxidized and aged beautifully to a wood-like color and appearance. It is 2 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches wide.
There are no chips or cracks and it is in very nice vintage condition.
The 3 tooth clip on the back is deals in very good working condition.
There is a patent number (which might help to determine more or less the approximate date, at least of the clip), stamped on the steel clip, but I can't read it easily, the numbers are too small and a few are indistinct.
