Medium Cream Lockerhook Rug deals with Blue/Green

This medium size rug is worked on half of a rug canvas. It is deals done mostly in strips of cream and white cotton fabric. It is worked in a rectangle shape and worked around the outside of the canvas working to the center. The rug has random strips of blues and greens worked in the rug. When I made this rug I took a basin and filled it with random strips of whites and then a few blues and greens. Without looking I would take handfuls of strips and lock them together in the random order I found them. I liked the way the rug looked so I continued till the rug was finished. A rug this size will take 10.5 yards of fabric cut into 1" strips.The rug is washable but no in a washing machine. Because of the massive amounts of fabric in these rugs they are much to heavy and the pull apart. I have washed mine many times. Some of my rugs are 10+ years old. Let your rug soak in a tub with hot soapy water. Scrub it briskly with a brush drain and rinse in clear cool water. I like to rinse mine outside on my deck with the garden hose.
