WW2 Souvenir Marquetry Plaque Dated deals 1939-1944

A very nice WW2 souvenir marquetry plaque.

This plaque is made by using different colour woods that have been cut and put together to make this plaque. Light coloured wood has been used for the words to make them stand out, I should imagine this is not deals easy to do so it would have taken some time.

This plaque was obviously made by a person or a family exiled from their home or even from their home country, I don't know their actual story but obviously there is one to tell but that is now left to our own imagination.

It measures 32.5 cm long and 10.4 cm wide.

This wooden plaque does have some hand written writing on the back but I'm unable to make it out.
