Bolivian deals woman's helmet/hat vintage

This is probably the only thing like this on ebay or etsy. I brought this back from Bolivia in late 1980's from Bolivia. It is truly a helmet that women wear in their village and deals this one is very good condition. I put it on and it is comfortable to wear and similar to a bicycle helmet. They were ahead of their times, but I don't know why they would need such a sturdy helmet in their villages. This is vintage and unusual. It is quite clean and good condition for its age. The top which is leather has a few spots on it which show in the photos, but this is not unusual for its use and age. Fits a normal size head. I have included a photo with the lady weaving with a hat like this on her head. S&H included.
