deals A gorgeous Victorian era print featuring the fashion of the period, this lithograph "Le Moniteur de la Mode" translated "The Fashion Monitor" was one of the lithographs produced for the weekly fashion magazine. All of the plates were drawn by artist, illustrator and lithographer, Jules David.

Framed it measures 18.5" wide x 22.5" high. The matted lithograph measures 14" high x 10" wide. In excellent condition the frame shows some minor marring, and the paper backing shows some minor damage as noted in the photos.

A great print, nicely framed with certification attached. It is a perfect complement for a Victorian/shabby chic decor. If interested, see my shop for an additional print from this same publication. It makes a great set and they can be combined for shipping.

Certified Authenticity:

Fashion graphics were used extensively thru all of the 19th century to advertise various commercial establishments. They were frequently produced for simultaneous distribution in various major cities, especially Paris, Vienna, and London. This dated lithograph is multiple=stone for major color areas with hand-color accenting.
