Ode to the deals Ancient Sundial

This one of a kind lap quilt incorporates an infusion of vivid color, distinct fabric patterns carefully mingled together and designed to interest, bring brightness, cheer, and a bit of "pop" to it's surroundings or the one who wraps up in it for warmth and comfort. The circular design in the body of the patchwork as well as the sawtooth border is reminiscent of the antique sundial that graces our garden. This quilt was designed, pieced and quilted during the early days of the pandemic when isolation ruled. It's creation served to help keep me inspired, staved off boredom and represents my deals hope for brighter days to come. Piecing was done by machine using a variety of quality 100% cotton fabric, and hand quilted using 40 wt. cotton quilting thread. It is layered with low loft polyester batting, and unbleached muslin used as backing material.
