Annia Cupressenia Herennia ETRUSILLA was Augusta (Sept. 249 – Jun. 251) of the Roman Empire, wife of Emperor Decius, and mother of Emperors Herennius Etruscus and Hostilian.
As with most third-century Roman Empresses, very little is known about her.
She was particularly careful to keep the larger part of her personal affairs private.
It is assumed that her ancestors were from the Etrurian lands.
Etruria, usually referred to in Greek and Latin source texts as Tyrrhenia was a region of Central Italy, located in an area that covered part of what are now Tuscany, Lazio, and Umbria.
Herennia married Decius probably before and gained the title AUGUSTA.
