Vintage Edwin M. Knowles Collection of The Walt Disney "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" Plates Series Including Plates One Through Twelve.

The Edwin M. Knowles China Company created countless pieces of fine delicate China. This listing is for the complete collection of the twelve plates that comprise the "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" series. The twelve plates feature artwork translated by Disney artists from the original film into the medium of fine porcelain. The editions of each plate were limited to a maximum of 150 firing days. The limited-edition plates one through four were created in 1991. The plate numbers five through eleven were created in 1992 and the twelfth and last plate was created in 1993. This offering is for the complete twelve plate collection. The plates are not being sold individually.

Each plate measures 8.5 inches in diameter and is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. The boxes have been opened but the plates have never been displayed. Each deals plate is being sold in its original corrugated cardboard shipping box. Each of the plates is numbered, has the production number fired permanently into the back of the plate and contains its own certificate of authenticity, approved by the Walt Disney Board of Review. Each plate comes with a pamphlet with the title of each plate and a description of the depicted moment in relationship to the Snow White tale. The additional information included in each box is the making of an animated cartoon and the history of Knowles Fine China.
