Earl Young deals Cottage

Earl Young designed many beautiful houses built from boulders along Lake Michigan in the early 1900's. The beautiful port town of Charlevoix in Michigan's northern lower peninsula is home to deals many of these “story book” houses. They have been nicknamed many things: mushroom houses, Hobbit Houses are just a few.
I did this pastel painting from a photo that I took. This house is one of the small ones but I loved the light that day.
