deals Florence is not a great distance from Venice, which was the most Islamic-influenced city in Europe through the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Traces of that influence can be seen in this mid-century, Florentine ashtray with its rich orange glaze and burnished gold geometric pattern reminiscent of Moroccan and Turkish design.

Spittoon-shaped, this handsome and very rare ashtray is uniquely designed to collect ash and butts with a removable center that rests above the conical rise at the center of the bowl. Bearing the FZR stamp of its Tuscan maker, it is in exceptionally fine condition, with no chips, flea bites, cracks, scratches, scuffs, color loss, or repair. One minuscule rough spot (see photo) on the underside of the centerpiece has no affect on its beauty, value, or utility.
