The red Gothic Gute Nacht "Good Night" is beautifully hand embroidered by deals a most practiced lady and made at home of vintage white cotton.
Edged with small cotton lace.

There are ties on each side, possibly used to tie on the bedpost. However I love using this type filled with nightgown and placed on the bed as a pillow during the day. There is a little hand sewn button hole at the top, meant to secure it closed but the button is missing.

I've hand laundered and pressed it and have found no stains or issues.
