Ruth had danced all her life, making her professional debut with Anna Pavlov's company on it's tour of South America in 1918-19 her her US debut at the Chicago Auditorium in John Alden Carpenters The Birthday Infanta in 1919, she danced ceaselessly for the next forty years, with Adolph Bolm's Ballet Intime, on Broadway, with the Chicago Allied Arts, the Diaghileff Ballet Russes, The Mtropolitan, Ravinia and Chicago operas along with numerous others.
